MOVED

Ok... it's official... I've moved the blog over to the NEW LOCATION. I hope that you'll join me over there and make any changes you need so you can continue to read me through bloglines, or google blogger, or whatever it is you kids are using these days. I will be leaving up all the archives over here in case we ever need to stop back in, but all new posting will be done over there.

Thanks for a good run blogspot. It was fun while it lasted!!

I've really been slacking with the blog posts lately. You know it's gotten bad when your mom asks you why you haven't been blogging much (*hi mom).

I guess it's partly been the weather. We've been getting a lot of gray rainy days here in Southern Minnesota and I although the seasons are changing and the leaves are beautiful colors, the sun isn't coming out to show it all off.

Also I've been away lot spending time with family. We had a birthday party for one sassy 3 year old on Friday night. There was lots of pizza, soda, and laughs. On the way over I caught this picture of the sky going to sleep. It was quite beautiful and I don't think my picture gives it any justice.I then completed the weekend by dog sitting for my mom, lots of movie watching and junk food. It was kind of nice to have a really slow relaxing weekend because I know that's about to change for good. The holidays are just around the corner now and I really should be focusing on stocking the shop with all the new goodies lying around here, getting ready for the No-Coast show which is quickly approaching, and working on the details of that secret I'm not quite ready to give away. *sorry I'm such a tease :D I'll be worth the wait!

Midwest Modern

I just closed the cover of Amy Butler's Midwest Modern. I wish I could accurately describe the feeling inside me right now. I'm overwhelmed with the possibilities of art, nature, design, and life. Amy did a really astounding job putting this book together, the images that spread every single page are enchanting(no surprise there) but also you get a sense that great thought was put into every sentence... every eloquent detail. If you have been stubborn to buy this book because of the price tag I will tell you that it is worth every penny.

Amy Butler I'm am impressed. You are such a role model. Teaching others great design, but also sharing your wisdom and breathing inspiration into all of us. Midwest Modern will long be a favorite of mine. I've only just finished it, but I'm wanting to go through it again. I've already spent days glimpsing into your world, studying each detail, yet I'm ready to go back for more. Thanks for sharing... I am inspired!

I learned an important lesson at Renegade Chicago, which was DON'T procrastinate for shows!!! I didn't bring enough of certain items so this time I'm going to really stalk up with TONs of goodies... starting now.

Hope to see some of you there!!

Tweet Tote

It's been so cold and gray out since Saturday so I'm showing off this tote I made last week. The day I photographed it was so warm and sunny out.... I can almost feel the sun just looking at it! I made it after there were so many requests for this birthday whip up tote.

Sorry for the short post today, I'm rushing around doing so many things at once I hardly have time for any one project.

And The Winner Is.......

Brandy!.... Who also has an ADORABLE blog by the way.

Thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hi!! It was such fun to do the giveaway that I foresee many more to come in the future!!

The weekend was long and rainy... just the way I like it because then I never feel bad about sitting around in my pajamas doing absolutely nothing. But like all good things they must come to an end so today is my un-Birthday just like many of yours and it's back to work for this sewing girl ;D
