So today the sun came out nice and early. I just new when I woke up that today would be the grand debut of my studio. There's so much to show so let's get started!!My room is located in the front corner of our house. It's technically the sun room, but we have some friends living with us so the bedrooms are full and it seemed like the perfect space anyways.... three sides are windows so I have a great abundance of natural light. It's really nice to be located on the main floor so I don't feel so secluded when I'm working. We ran a little low of money so we decided not to paint right away.. but the light blue is nice so I didn't mind. The room is only 15x8 so ALL my stuff is a little smooshed, and I still have some stuff to put away that's just scattered around the floor right now, but I'll take care of that later :D Lucky for me there were already some GREAT built in shelves where I store all my books, buttons, embroidery floss, and some fun inspiration items.
Opposite of my shelves/fabric/and computer area is the work zone. I'm still using the sewing desk I bought a year and a half ago for $5 at the salvation army... it's just perfect... needs some paint... but is really a great height for me to be sewing at. I added a table for cutting, ironing, and wip projects too which has been really great. It's so nice to have a surface for cutting rather than hunching over on the floor. I highly recommend it!
Another new addition that's a favorite of mine is the papasan chair from John's mom!! It's the perfect reading area or if I need a short break I always jump in and cuddle with zoey.Well I could pretty much talk about my studio for ages... so I'll just leave you to enjoy the pictures. Hopefully after Renegade I'll have some time and money to finish organizing everything and I'm sure I'll have more pictures then :D
PS. You can see more pictures of the studio here.

My doggie has a bed under my desk as well; he started hanging out there after I got my wee office arranged, so I decided to make it more comfortable for him. Zoey looks cute!
Looks so nice and bright! I know for me - a room full of natural light is critical! So very organized too- makes me want to get my in better shape teehee!

some day... I will have my own studio. :)
btw- the blue is great! Definitly doable! :)
The natural light is amazing. That's the best thing about my sewing room. We just rent our house so I'm jealous of anyone who can do what they want. Looks very nice and I like the blue too.
