Laundry Day

I've always been a procrastinator when it comes to laundry. I let it build up and tumble over the brim of the basket. Even when it's building up into heaps on the floor I do not take action until it is absolutely necessary that I wear fresh clothes. Don't get me wrong... I don't sit around in dirty rags... but I don't mind wearing a shirt twice or pants three times before I wash them... it has never really bothered me and it helps cut back electricity and water usage too.

Lately though I've been looking forward to doing my loads... all because of this great new laundry soap I got. Sounds hard to believe (especially coming from me!!) but a good scent and environmentally healthy choice of soap can really make all the difference. Mugwort Maggies is the source of this laundry delight :D Not only does she have the widest choice of laundry scents I have EVER heard of... they are all amazing!! My personal favorite is lilac... but you'll find your cup of tea too!She also offers candles, bath teas, lip balms, and perfume oils in addition to her wonderful laundry soaps. I think that the best part of the whole thing is that she offers all her soaps in a trial size so you can get a smell for yourself :D

Today I am washing this amazing vintage bed sheet that I picked up for $2 last week in the city. It is one of my all time favorite finds and I haven't quite decided what to do with it. This is the first time in my life that I've been afraid to cut into a piece of fabric. So I haven't decided yet... but I'm thinking... if I ever get the courage to cut this amazing sherbety goodness that it will become a summer skirt, book bags, or maybe a messenger for myself. I was also thinking I could just use it for a quilt back. It is a king size sheet so I know it would be perfect and that way I could savor it forever and ever.

Happy Washing,
Jenna Lou

I love the sheet and the soap link! Seventh Generation (my current soap) is cool but it could use a scent update!
